Abstract
Applications of inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry for the trace elements' content and morphology analyses in biological samples are reviewed. The study is mainly focused on regular pre-treatment methods of the content analysis of trace elements determined by ICP-MS and interference removal in the process of determination. Furthermore, the applications of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) combined with ICP-MS on the morphology analysis of arsenic, selenium and mercury in biological species are introduced.
