Assessment and Treatment on Health Risk of Rural Drinking Water

Objectivess  To reveal important factors affecting the quality of rural drinking water, and to put forward corresponding measures.

Methods Applying risk matrix method and Borda sequence value method to assess the risk factors by using the result of hygienic survey on rural drinking water in the first half of 2013.

Results The 21 risk factors defined by the assessment included 8 high, 6 intermediate and 7 low grade risk factors. The risk factors of which immediate treatment must be taken, and risk factors of which was allowable and unnecessary treatment were also identified through the risk assessment.

Conclusions Strengthening the enforcement of health administrative law and strengthening the responsibilities of relevant agents is the main corresponding measures to control the health risks in rural drinking water.
