Atomic Fluorescence Spectrometry in the Determination of Arsenic in Drinking Water

    • Objectives To determine the content of arsenic in drinking water with hydride generation atomic fluorescence spectrometric method.
Methods Thiourea and L-ascorbic acid were added to the medium of 5% HNO3, and 20% NaBH4 was used as a reducer to determine the strength of fluorescence.
Results Under the best conditions of experimentation, the recovery rate of the method was 90.5% ~ 93.1% for arsenic.
Conclusion This method is simple, fast and accurate.
