Discussion on standard revision of Examination Methods for Public Places―Part 4: Microorganism on a Surface of Public Articles (GB/T 18204.4-2013)

The Examination Method for Public Places―Part 4: Microorganism on a Surface of Public Articles (GB/T18204.4-2013) has been widely used in the process of health management and supervision in public places and has played an important role since its release on December 31, 2013. However, with socio-economic development, some of the equipment, reagents, experimental process, and result interpretation in the standard can no longer meet the actual work needs in public places. Based on the principles of scientificalness, practicability, uniformity, and standardization in standard formulation, this paper analyzed the original standard and puts forward some suggestions for revision.
