Occurrence and toxicity hazard of lindane in freshwater environment in China
The production and use of lindane have led to contamination legacy, secondary release, and exposure risks. At present, lindane is still the key organic pollutant in freshwater ecosystems in China. This article reviews the spatial-temporal distribution characteristics of lindane over China and the research progress in its toxicity to aquatic life.
