Advances in Analytical Methods for Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers in Environmental Media and Human Biological Samples

Polybrominated diphenyl ethers are a group of emerging persistent organic pollutants, and as commonly used brominated flame retardants, they are widely applied in construction materials, textile products, chemical materials, and electronic equipment, with a variety of toxic effects on organisms. This article reviews the pretreatment and analytical methods for polybrominated diphenyl ethers, introduces the latest research findings of the determination of polybrominated diphenyl ethers in China and globally, and looks into the future development trend of this field, so as to provide a reference for the determination of polybrominated diphenyl ethers in environmental media and human biological samples.
