Current Status and Trend of Research on Environment and Ecology under the Concept of "One Health"

    • Objective To investigate the current status and trend of research in the field of environment and ecology under the concept of "One Health".
Methods Articles in the field of environment and ecology under the concept of "One Health" were collected from Web of Science Core Collection database. CiteSpace software was used to conduct visual analysis in terms of countries, authors, institutions, and keywords, and association maps were plotted accordingly.
Results The number of articles in the field of environment and ecology increased year by year, and among the top ten countries by the number of publications, there were eight developed countries and two developing countries(China and Brazil, with a lower ranking). Close cooperation was observed among countries and institutions, while the cooperation among author groups was not close. Antibiotic resistance and zoonosis were the main research domains, and climate change and biodiversity were of the two hot topics in the field of environment under the concept of "One Health". International scholars focused on the impact of environment on animal food safety, and the interface between environment and animals might become a research hotspot in the future.
Conclusion The concept of "One Health" is gradually becoming an important research method in the field of environment and ecology, which is dominated by institutions from developed countries. It is necessary for Chinese institutions and scientists to strengthen the application of the concept of "One Health" in the field of environment and ecology through the important way of international cooperation.
