    Hygienic Status of Public Places in Longgang District of Shenzhen, China, 2015—2019

    • Objective To investigate the hygienic status of public places in Longgang district of Shenzhen, China, from 2015 to 2019.
      Methods On-site sampling and testing were conducted according to the Examination methods for public places (GB/T 18204-2013), and a statistical analysis was performed for the testing data.
      Results A total of 102 924 samples were collected in 2015—2019, among which 99 856 samples were qualified, with an overall qualification rate of 97.02%. There were significant differences in the qualification rates of samples among different years (χ2 = 917.01, P < 0.05), and the qualification rates of air, public utensils, and tea sets in public places were 98.00%, 97.45%, and 97.94%, respectively. The qualification rates of testing results had significant differences (χ2 = 856.37, P < 0.05) among different types of places. There were significant differences among different types of places in the qualification rates of total bacterial count (χ2 = 525.31, P < 0.05), coliform (χ2 = 421.99, P < 0.05), Staphylococcus aureus (χ2 = 500.90, P < 0.05), and total number of fungi (χ2 = 140.43, P < 0.05).
      Conclusion The overall hygienic status of public places in Longgang District of Shenzhen is good, but could still improve in the futrue.
