Investigation on the Effect of Centralized Isolation and Recuperation on Physical and Mental Recovery among Staff Returning from Epidemic Prevention and Control in Hubei Province

Objective To investigate the status of physical and mental health of 74 national-level staff returning from epidemic prevention and control in Hubei Province, Province and the implementation effect of centralized recuperation.

Methods With the team members participating in epidemic prevention and control in Hubei as respondents, a questionnaire survey was used to investigate their physical and mental conditions before and after recuperation. The McNemar's test and the Wilcoxon rank sum test were used to analyze the differences in data before and after recuperation.

Results The comparison showed that there were significant differences in wake-up time, time to fall asleep, physical exercise time, mental state, and degree of satisfaction with accommodation and management before and after recuperation (P < 0.05). There were significant increases in the proportion of members with an early wake-up time, a late time to fall asleep, an increase in physical exercise time, and a more peaceful mental state.

Conclusion Team members achieve physical and mental recovery after centralized recuperation.
