    Requirements for Protection and Disinfection of Key Places during COVID-19 Pandemic

    • The Chinese people are undergoing huge health losses because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Places such as supermarkets, nursing homes, enterprises and institutions, etc., are characterized by high population density, strong crowd flow, and complex health conditions. Implementation of scientific and standard health protection measures could efficiently reduce the clustering infection risk in these places. Five articles of technical guidelines including Health Protection Guideline for Shopping Malls during COVID-19 Pandemic, Health Protection Guideline for Supermarkets during COVID-19 Pandemic, Health Protection Guideline for Public Places during COVID-19 Pandemic, Health Protection Guideline for Nursing Homes during COVID-19 Pandemic, as well as Guideline for the Operation and Management of Air Conditioning and Ventilation Systems in Offices and Public Places during COVID-19 Pandemic are assembly published in this theme issue. These guidelines illustrate all prevention and control measures in detail from perspectives of environmental health, cleaning and disinfection, and personal protection in order to provide technical guidance for current prevention and control of COVID-19 as well as technical reference for prevention and control of future emerging infectious diseases.
