Abstract
There have been many reports on the impacts of air pollution on human reproductive health, especially on the male reproductive health, including sperm quality. However, the correlations of different pollutant components in air pollution (such as PM10, PM2.5, O3, SO2, NO2, CO, Vehicle Emission, PAHs and etc.) with human sperm quality sensitive parameters, and the sensitive windows of exposure time (different developmental cycles during spermatogenesis) are not clear. Thus, specific analysis and research are needed. We reviewed the existing research result, summarized the evidences of the impact of air pollution on the quantity and quality of human sperm, and provided scientific data support for the assessment and prevention of air pollution health hazards.
