    Monitoring Analysis on Hygienic Quality of Entertainment Places in Huizhou City in 2014 to 2016

    • Objectives To study the hygienic status of dance halls, bars and other entertainment places in Huizhou and to provide a theoretical basis for improving the environment and hygiene of entertainment places for the prevention of public health problems.
      Methods Based on the cluster sampling method, the data on the sanitary surveillance of 562 entertainment places, including certification, replicated and regular monitoring places, reported by the CDC of Huizhou in 2014 to 2016 were analyzed; the hygienic quality of these data were evaluated according to the "Hygienic standard for public place of entertainment" (GB 9664-1996) and analyzed by SPSS 22.0.
      Results The total qualified rate in entertainment places supervised in 2014 to 2016 was 61.0% (343/562), and those in 2017, 2015 and 2016 were 53.9%, 60.1% and 69.1% respectively, which showed an ascending trend in the past three years. The unqualified items included coliform on tableware, temperature, humidity, CO2, amout of fresh air, noise and bacteria in the air.
      Conclusions The problems on public health were outstanding in entertainment places of Huizhou City. Therefore, all relevant departments in the local government should strengthen the work and take measures to improve the hygienic condition of the city.
