Analysis of Eighty Cases of Cosmetic Safety InformationIn Foreign Countries

Objective To understand the present situation and reasons of the safety of cosmetics in foreign countries based on the safety information of foreign cosmetics.

Method To analyze the foreign cosmetics safety information which was collected during May 2015 and May 2016 from the country of notification, country of origin, product classification, security issues, reporting time distribution.

Results Excessive chemicals are the main reasons for the safety of cosmetics abroad.There is a higher number for whitening cosmetics which was recalled in foreign countries, and has a high risk.The emergence time of cosmetic safety issues does not have obvious time distribution characteristics.

Conclusion The supervision department and cosmetics enterprises should pay close attention to the risk of chemical substances such as hydroquinone in whitening cosmetics, also pays attention to the information and reasons of China's foreign products recall, to ensure the safety of consumers.
