Dringking Water Quality Analysis from 2013 to 2015 in Yucheng District, Ya'an City

    • Objective To understand the condition of dringking water quality of Yucheng District, Ya'an city and to provide management of dringking water with evidences.
Methods Water sample collection, storage, transportation and examination analysis are consistent with Standard Examination Approaches of Dringking Water (GB/T 5750-2006). Analysis on water quality is based on Standard of Dringking Water (GB 5749-2006).
Results In three years, 488 samples were collected. Passing rate of microorganism was lowest (total passing rate was 57.79%). Total passing rate of urban and rural area were 91.91% and 44.60%, respectively. The difference between the two areas was of statistical significance (P < 0.001). Passing rate of finished water and tap water were 62.70% and 52.87%, respectively. Their difference was of statistical significance. (P < 0.05).
Conclusions Indexes of urban dringking water are generally good while passing rate of dringking water in rural area is relatively low. Passing rate of tap water was lower than that of finished water. So disinfection and purification facilities should be updated and the construction of infrastructure such as pipe network should be strengthen in rural areas.
