    Application of Correlation Analysis in Drinking Water Sanitary Examination and Quality Control

    • Objective  To study the correlations of total dissolved solids with total hardness, chloride and sulphate to verify the validity and reliability of data in the sanitary examination of drinking-water quality.Method The examination methods were based on the Standard Examination
      Methods  for Drinking Water (GB/T 5750-2006).
      Result  There were some strong correlations of total dissolved solids with total hardness, chloride and sulphate.
      Conclusion  The correlations of total dissolved solids with total hardness, chloride and sulphate in different water samples could be used as a method for the quality control of data, which has played an effective role in the appraisal of accuracy, rationality and validity of results.
