    Economic Burden of Lung Cancer Patients in Nanchang

    • Objectives  To measure the economic burden of lung cancer patients in Nanchang and to promote a reasonable application and prior input of health resources.
      Methods  Lung cancer patients and their caregivers were surveyed by questionnaire in 2014-9-1 to 2015-1-1. The descriptive analysis of data collected according to the principle of informed consent was analyzed statistically by SPSS, and the average economic burden of lung cancer patients was calculated.
      Results  The total cost of an outpatient was ¥2834.84 in 6 months, the average cost of hospitalization for 12 months was ¥101536.67 in Nanchang.
      Conclusion  The primary source of total economic burden for lung cancer patient was the expense in hospitalization, while the cost for outpatient service had little effect on patients.
