Research Progress in Health Risks of Boron

    • Boron is a kind of trace element widely existed in the environment. It has certain nutritional effects on the growth and development of plant and animal, deficiency or excess intake of boron may lead to adverse effects. With the wild application of boron and its compounds, their health risks gradually caused extensive concern. Recent progress on the research in health risks of boron, including existence and distribution, exposure, biotoxicity and dose-response relationship was summarized in this paper, in order to provide references for health risk assessment and formulate relative standards for boron.
