Discussion on Standard Framework for Water Desalination in China

Through desalination technology to alleviate water stress is of great strategic significance for the development of economy and society in China. The technology of desalination for seawater was different from conventional water production, and the quality of desalinated water was also different from traditional drinking water.The aim of this paper is drawing lessons on desalinated water standards from the World Health Organization, the European Union, the United States and Israel, and referring the standard system for the quality of drinking water and the applying environment of seawater desalination in China, to think the standard sanitary framework for water desalination in our country.
