Objectives To investigate the contamination of glyphosate in drinking water and source water in Henan Province.
Methods The detected results were statistically analyzed by Fisher exact test and nonparametric Wilcoxon rank sum test.
Results Based on the type of water source, no statistical difference was observed on the results analyzed by Fisher exact test(P=0.7540、P=0.7079) and nonparametric Wilcoxon rank sum test (Z=1.2143, P=0.2246). On the other hand, based on the position of the city, there was a statistical difference on the results analyzed by Fisher exact test (P < 0.0001).
Conclusions Considering that glyphosate is a high effective and low toxic and widely used pesticide, and glyphosate has not being detected in drinking water samples, monitoring the quality of drinking water for glyphosate is still to be strengthened.
