Abstract: In order to improve the features of environmental hygiene in rural areas to prevent the transmission of intestinal infectious diseases, and to create a beautiful, clean, comfortable living and working environment for promoting the physical and mental health of rural residents, improving latrines in countryside have become a basic public health measure of rural health works. Practice has proved that improving latrines in countryside could generate huge health, social and economic benefits, and should continue to carry out. But some problems on the transformation and renovation of rural latrines were also present, and constant improvement was needed.
