Abstract:
With the development of urban economy and industrialization, urban environmental pollution such as air pollution, extreme temperature, noise, light pollution, and green space have become important influencing factors for public health. Pregnant and parturient women are high-risk populations of environmental pollution. Thyroid dysfunction during pregnancy increases the risk of pregnancy-related comorbidities in pregnant women and affects fetal growth and development. This review summarizes the effects of air pollution, extreme temperature, noise exposure, light pollution, and green space on thyroid function in pregnant women.
