    大气污染与痴呆关联的流行病学研究进展

    Epidemiological research progress on the association of exposure to ambient air pollution with dementia

    • 摘要: 随着全球人口老龄化的不断加剧, 痴呆患病率不断上升。鉴于目前痴呆暂无有效治愈手段, 探索和控制可改变的危险因素对减轻痴呆疾病负担具有重要意义。大气污染物暴露与多种不良健康结局有关, 其对痴呆的影响已受到广泛关注。目前, 国内外已有部分研究探索了大气污染物长期、短期暴露与痴呆发生、住院、死亡等多种健康结局之间的关联, 但研究数量有限且研究结果不一致。本文基于国内外现有研究, 对大气污染物暴露与痴呆发生、患病、住院、死亡等结局之间关联的研究结果进行综述, 为深入了解大气污染对痴呆的影响提供线索。

       

      Abstract: The prevalence of dementia is continuously increasing with the increasing ageing of the global population. Since there is no curative treatment for dementia, it is of critical importance to identify and control its modifiable risk factors to alleviate the burden of dementia. Exposure to air pollutants has been linked to a variety of adverse health outcomes, and its potential effects on dementia have drawn global attention. Previous domestic and abroad studies have investigated the association of long-term and short-term exposure to ambient air pollutants with the incidence, hospitalization and mortality of dementia, but the number of studies is limited and the results remain inconsistent. Here we review extant studies on the association of exposure to air pollutants with the incidence, prevalence, hospitalization, and mortality of dementia, to gain insight into the effects of air pollution on dementia.
