Abstract: Hygienic Indicators and Limits for Public Places (GB 37488-2019) specifies the hygienic requirements for physical factors, indoor air quality, drinking water, swimming pool water, bathing water, central air conditioning ventilation system, and public articles in public places. This article gives an interpretation of the background, domestic and international situations, main contents, and formulation basis of this standard, in order to help regulators, operators, employees, and the public better understand the main contents of the standard. Meanwhile, this article gives some suggestions for working after the implementation of this standard, so as to promote the effective implementation of the standard.
