Abstract:
Objectives Taking the health risk assessment on drinking water in a city as an example to illustrate the application of quantitative risk assessment method in drinking water evaluation.
Methods The health risk of various compounds in drinking water was based on a classical "four-step" methods and the health risk was described with the median value.
Results The total HQ of tap water was 7.32×10-2 in the city, which was lower than the acceptable limits. The total risk of tap water was 3.75×10-6, in which arsenic was 3.44×10-6.
Conclusions The health risk of arsenic in the tap water of the city was higher.
