Abstract:
Objectives To find out the awareness of banned (limited) pesticides in greenhouse growers in Ledu district.
Methods A total of 268 greenhouse growers in Ledu district were selected by randomized sampling method and surveyed with a questionnaire.
Results The awareness rate on pesticides used in growing greenhouse vegetables was higher in growers who had middle school and above levels than those had only primary and secondary school levels (χ2=8.27, P < 0.05). The total awareness rate on banned (limited) pesticides was 34.94%. The awareness rate in greenhouse growers whose greenhouse had been checked by relevant departments was higher than those had not been checked (χ2=5.43, P < 0.05).
Conclusions The awareness of greenhouse growers in Ledu district on banned (limited) pesticides was poor. The publicity and the training of pesticide-related knowledge and the control and prevention banned (limited) pesticides should be strengthened.
