    Review of Microcystins Immunotoxicity

    • 摘要: 水体富营养化引起蓝藻水华产生微囊藻毒素(MCs)。MCs的肝毒性和促进肿瘤的潜力已被广泛研究,但动物模型和体外试验观察到MCs暴露对免疫系统的不良效应。MCs的免疫刺激改变免疫调节活性,产生免疫毒性,长期低水平暴露可能对人类和动物的免疫系统产生重要影响。本文回顾以往MCs免疫毒性的体外和动物模型等试验研究,综合MCs免疫毒性相关的重要信息,讨论当前的认知和研究需求现状,以利于MCs长期饮水暴露与免疫相关疾病之间的潜在关系及机制的进一步调查研究,为环境卫生研究与管理工作者提供一定的帮助与参考。

       

      Abstract: Eutrophication of freshwater bodies may lead to cyanobacterial blooms. Microcystins(MCs) are secondary metabolites produced by cyanobacteria. The hepatotoxicity and potential carcinogenic activity of MCs have been studied extensively, meanwhile, various adverse effects on immune system have been observed in vivo and in vitro. The immune stimulation of MCs altered immunoregulatory activity and induced immunotoxicity. Long-term exposure at low levels may have an important effect on the immune system in humans and animals. This review focuses on previous in vivo and in vitro studies of MCs immunotoxicity, the current state of knowledge and research needs are also discussed with a summary of the existing important information. The article is aimed to provide reference for environmental health researchers, facilitate the study on relevant mechanisms and the future investigation of potential relationship between exposure and immune-related disease, and offer advices in environmental health management decision making.
