    Detection and Assessment on the Health Risk of Formaldehyde for Employees in Public Places in Kunshan

    • 摘要:
      目的  了解昆山市公共场所空气中甲醛的污染水平及对从业人员的癌症和非癌症风险。
      方法  利用2010年-2015年6年间公共场所卫生监测中甲醛的监测数据,利用健康风险评价的方法,对不同类型公共场所致癌及非致癌效应风险进行评价。
      结果  共涉及各类公共场所1 249家,甲醛检测样本量2 716个,甲醛平均质量浓度为0.57 mg/m3,不同类型场所的非致癌效应HQ均大于1,从业人员的致癌风险为4.70×10-5到1.57×10-4不等,均超过美国环保局制定的限值(1×10-6)。美容类场所风险值最高,且在相同条件下,男性致癌风险值高于女性。
      结论  昆山市公共场所空气中甲醛对从业人员存在较大的致癌和非癌症风险,以美容类场所风险值最高,应进行进一步的研究分析。

       

      Abstract:
      Objectives  To assess the exposure of formaldehyde in public places and associated non-carcinogenic and carcinogenic risks for employees in Kunshan.
      Methods  The monitoring data on air formaldehyde in public places during 2010 to 2015 was collected from Kunshan CDC. The non-carcinogenic and carcinogenic health risks for employees working in different types of public places was assessed by the U.S. EPA Integrated Risk Information System (U.S. EPA IRIS).
      Results  A total of 2716 air samples from 1249 public places were involved in this study. The average concentration of formaldehyde was 0.57 mg/m3, the non-carcinogenic risk assessment index was high (HQ<1). The carcinogenic effect of formaldehyde at different public places was 4.70×10-5-1.57×10-4, which was greater than the acceptable carcinogenic risk value (1×10-6)from U.S. EPA. The highest carcinogenic risk value was appeared at cosmetics stores, the carcinogenic risk for male was greater than that for female.
      Conclusions  There was a big non-carcinogenic and carcinogenic health risk of formaldehyde pollution in the indoor air of public places on employees in Kunshan city, especially in cosmetics stores, and further research should be given on protecting indoor air environment.
