Abstract:
Objective To investigate the relationship between air pollution and the hospital outpatient adults.
Method Daily air pollution data in 2015 were collected from Wuxi Environmental Protection Agency.Daily hospital outpatient data in the same duration were obtained from a top three general hospital in Wuxi.Analysis on the relationship between pollutant concentrations and adult outpatient hospital.
Results Respiratory Outpatients in PM10 and PM2.5 exceeded day was increased. Dermatology outpatients and ophthalmology outpatients in O3-1h and O3-8h exceeded day were increased. Daily cardiovascular disease clinic increased with increasing daily average concentration of PM2.5.Total outpatient day,medical outpatients,dermatology outpatients,ophthalmology outpatients and the daily average concentration of O3-1h,O3-8h were positively correlated.Respiratory Outpatients and the daily average concentration of PM10,PM2.5 were positively correlated.Circulatory system outpatients and the daily average concentration of PM10, SO2,NO2,NOx were positively correlated.
Conclusions This study provided evidence suggesting that the current air pollution levels had an adverse effect on the adult outpatients.
