Abstract:
Objective To investigate the effects of location (at different longitude and latitude) and depth of primary and secondary wells at the same location on levels of fluoride, sulfate, sodium, and to verify whether dig deep wells could improve the quality of drinking-water.
Method 25 pairs of primary and secondary well water samples were determined the levels of fluoride, sulfate, and, sodium, then analyzed with the WPS 2013 and SPSS19.0.
Result The mean levels of fluoride, sulfate and sodium in deep and shallow wells water samples were 1.16mg/L~1.14mg/L,241.3mg/L~173.5mg/L and 329.7mg/L~176.0mg/L,respectively.
Conclusion The problem of shallow well waters with unqualified levels of the above inorganic constituents could not be solved by dig deep wells owing to the specific hydrogeologic conditions in northern Anhui.
